This is a common issue with the 1200 dehumidifier. When the display on top of the machine reads service ER9 it usually means the drain hose has become blocked in some way.
The hose could either be caught under the wheel of the machine itself, something may have been put on it or someone may have stepped on it. In this instance simply make sure the hose is not trapped anywhere, tracking it back from the machine to where it’s exhausted.
Once the pipe is cleared, unplug the machine for ten seconds and plug it back in, this is the only time the machine should be unplugged as there is a chance they may leak otherwise. The machine will have a compressor delay of one minute before starting up, this should have rectified the problem.
If the problem persists then there may be a fault with the machine and it will require servicing.
